I can’t recall how the conversation started, but I asked what Kate wants to be when she grew up. She just said “I want to be rich” Hmm.. ok. not a bad thing.
Me: “Why do you want to be rich?”
K: “Buy lots of good food, buy anything I want”
My first gut reaction is to say something about not thinking about money and what we can buy. But I can’t really come up with anything wrong with her line of thinking. Isn’t this what most of us are doing now? So I just shut up and smiled.
